capture your ideas, generating ideas, goal achievement, subconscious mind, success habits

When you set effective goals, and you create a plan for their achievement, you become more focused on each goal. Not only does your conscious mind work towards the achievement of these goals; your subconscious mind also works to bring your goals to fruition. There may have been times when you were working away and a good idea suddenly popped into your head. The idea is often unrelated to the task you are performing at the time. It is more often related to one of your key goals. These ideas are your subconscious mind’s way of helping you to achieve your goals. If you fail to capture these ideas, you may miss an opportunity to take giant strides towards your goals. Your subconscious mind is a powerful tool. While you are busy working away on your daily tasks, your subconscious mind is working on your goals. Of course, this can only happen if you are clear about, and regularly review, your goals. Your subconscious mind is fertile ground for generating ideas; you simply have to sow the seeds. Regularly reviewing your goals, with your picture goals book, or by other means; sows the seeds in your subconscious mind. It will then set to work. You just have to be prepared to capture your ideas, evaluate them, and take action.

How to capture your ideas

The most important thing when you have an idea; is to capture your idea there and then. You need to capture as much detail as possible. The longer you delay, the more you will forget thus reducing the value of the idea. The idea must then be saved somewhere that you will be able to retrieve it later for evaluation. There are three key ways that I recommend to capture your ideas:
  1. A notepad specifically for ideas
  2. A dictaphone
  3. Email the ideas to your own account. This gives you two copies – one in your inbox and one in your sent items folder.
In the past, it may have been a burden to carry a notepad, a dictaphone or a computer with you, everywhere you go. Thankfully, there is one modern device which encapsulates all three – your smart phone. You probably carry your smart phone everywhere. This means that you have the capability to capture your ideas at any time. Setting effective goals and reviewing them regularly keeps your momentum moving forward. It sows the seeds for achievement in the fertile ground that is your subconscious mind. Your subconscious mind is a magnificent tool for generating ideas. You need to be prepared to capture your ideas as soon as they arrive. Thanks to modern technology, that has never been easier.  So, engage your subconscious mind, capture your ideas and take giant strides towards your goals.
